Order of Canada recipient, the late Louis Harrington (“Scoop”) Lewry’s (April 16, 1919—February 24, 1992) whole life resolved around three things: numismatics, the City of Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), and local politics. He an avid photo-journalist earning him the name “Scoop”, who was involved in many community initiatives. Scoop filled the pages of local newspapers with his reporting. images for a 17” high full-coloured 1981 numismatic calendar that was issued back in 1980. Having “rounded them up” and “roped them in”, we share 9 of 14 of these marvelous images with you, which were provided by John Regitko who took ownership of the photos after Lewry’s passing in 1992.
